Smart City Hackathon 2026 at KCT Coimbatore

The Smart City Hackathon 2026 is organised by IDEA Lab, Kumaraguru College of Technology and IEEE Smart Cities. The event encourages teams to identify local urban problems and build technology-driven solutions with measurable societal and environmental impact.
About the Smart City Hackathon
The hackathon provides a platform for participants to transform creative ideas into working solutions that address real-world urban problems.
Participating teams will progress through idea development, abstract submission, team shortlisting, solution development and a final product demonstration.
- Identify a meaningful local urban challenge.
- Propose an innovative and feasible solution.
- Develop a functional prototype or demonstrable product.
- Receive exposure through workshops and demonstrations.
- Present the final solution at the project expo and demo.

Team Formation and Participation
- A team may consist of one to four members.
- Participants should select one of the announced themes.
- The proposed solution should address a local urban challenge.
- Teams should prepare a clear and concise idea abstract.
- Only shortlisted teams will proceed to the build phase.
- Selected teams must present their final product or prototype on 5 September 2026.

- Open the official registration Google Form.
- Enter the team and project details correctly.
- Submit the registration form on or before 31 July 2026.
